EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a specialized therapeutic approach designed to help people process and heal from traumatic experiences and distressing memories. In EMDR therapy we recall the traumatic event while focusing on specific eye movements, sounds, or taps. The combination of memory recall and guided sensory input helps people reprocess the trauma in the brain, reducing its emotional intensity and allowing for healthier coping mechanisms. EMDR has been shown to be highly effective in treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related issues, offering a path to recovery and emotional well-being.
